Why We Love Antiques

We love antiques because they are quality and remind us of a simpler time at least those of some of my reasons.
Sometimes it's a heart thing. I can't explain it but pieces almost speak to me. When I'm on the hunt things just seem to jump out at me.
Over the years there has been so many heart felt stories of people finding that special "thing" at Barntiques Antique Mall. The college student finding the glass cereal dish like the one he always ate ice cream out of at his grandmother's house, or the man who found the Christmas candle light that his parents had in the 40's that was the signal Christmas was near. The treasures may not be expensive, it's not about the money it's about the memories.

Nancy's Vintage Trailer Park Party

We hosted a Vintage Trailer Park party for the Barntiques Antique Mall Dealers several years ago. These were a few pictures I snapped before the party started. This trailer is my 1959 Shasta Airflyte trailer.

It was a Great Trip down "Memory Lane".
This is another Shasta Trailer called a compact.

This trailer is a 1958 Yellowstone. Its decorated in Mickey Decor.

This is one of our favorite Dealers, Jean E. She's always so much fun. Everyone dressed up for the party. Jean is sitting in "Lucy" a vintage trailer Comanche from 1960!!

Case Steam Engine

These pictures were taken in 2005 on my parents farm. The Case Steam engine has been in our family for almost 100 years. Barntiques Antique Mall was started to help celebrate my Iowa Farm Heritage. It still is in working order and my Father loves to "steam" it up for the neighbors. He has had it in many parades and steam shows across Iowa.
